Scoil Eoin Naofa Parents' Association

The Parents' Association meets every Tuesday  at 9am in the Parents' room. The meetings last for about one hour, sometimes less, depending on matters that may or may not arise. The School Principal, Mrs. Aoibheann Ruane and the Home School Liaison Teacher, Mr. Newman, regularly attend these meetings.

One of the aims of the association is to have one parent to represent each class from Pre-school to 6th.

If the Principal needs some feedback onany topic she will consult the association for their opinions. We are always consulted on the formulation of new policies and the reviewing of existing ones.

The Parents' Association also gets involved with school initiatives like C.A.P.E.R. (Children and Parents Enjoying Reading) and Maths For Fun. These initiatives usually last for about six weeks. It is absolutely wonderful to see how confident the children become as regards their reading and maths over the course of the six weeks.

We do a lot of fundraising. We organise events, which as well as raising funds,  have  proven to be great social occasions for the school community.

The Parents' Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place in September/October.

We are always looking for new members, so come along and join us on Tuesday at 9am in the Parents' Room.
